In the High Country is an impressionistic mountain running film, a visual essay about a life lived at altitude, built around ultrarunner Anton Krupicka. It looks at running from a new perspective, both in its imagery and in a style of movement that blurs the boundary between running and climbing, between human and mountain.

Why This Film Matters: Not every mountain film is about a summit or a record; some are about a way of being. In the High Country treats running as a language for belonging to a landscape, a reminder that endurance sport can be less about conquering the wild than dissolving into it. It is a quiet argument for movement as its own reward.
