Ama Dablam: Beyond the Void follows an expedition to climb the 6,856-metre Himalayan peak of Ama Dablam, led by Simon Yates, the mountaineer made famous as "the man with the knife" in Touching the Void. It is an adventure film for a general audience, tracing two ordinary climbers as they test themselves against one of the most striking mountains on Earth.

Why This Film Matters: Decades after the events that made him a household name, Yates is still climbing, still guiding others toward their own summits. Beyond the Void is about second acts and hard-won perspective, and about the enduring pull of high places on the people who give their lives to them.
