In the summer of 2014, as bombs fall on Gaza, young filmmaker Mohamed Jabaly joins an ambulance crew led by veteran captain Abu Marzouq. What begins as a way to be useful becomes a harrowing, first-person account of life at the eye of the storm — the camaraderie of the crew, the children pulled from the rubble, and the moment Jabaly himself is hit and must decide whether to keep filming or run.

Why This Film Matters: Rather than statistics, Ambulance offers the war as one person lived it, from the inside — raw, intimate and unflinching. A multi-award-winning account (CPH:DOX, IDFA) that stands as both witness and act of survival.
