Murder of Couriers documents the lives of a group of bike messengers over nearly three years. Made by couriers, about couriers, for a wide audience, it offers a rare pass into a lifestyle few outsiders ever experience, at the moment urban cycling culture was breaking into the mainstream.

Why This Film Matters: Bike messengers built much of the culture, fashion, and craft that city cycling now takes for granted, often while living precariously on the margins. Murder of Couriers is an affectionate insider's portrait of that world, capturing the camaraderie, risk, and fierce independence of the people who keep the city moving.
