The world cheered when Myanmar's generals handed power to democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi after fifty years of military rule. This film goes inside that transition, gaining rare access to the players shaping and undermining it, to chart how a celebrated hero's compromises with the army led toward disillusion and renewed repression.

Why This Film Matters: A sobering anatomy of how democracies are won and lost, it complicates a simple hero's tale into a study of power, pragmatism and the limits of moral authority.
