An Irish farmer flees British repression during the famine, crosses the ocean, and builds a dynasty in a new land torn by civil war. The Manions of America is a sweeping historical saga starring Pierce Brosnan, Kate Mulgrew, Linda Purl, David Soul, and Simon MacCorkindale, directed by Charles S. Dubin and Joseph Sargent. An epic of hardship, emigration, and ambition across generations.

Why This Film Matters: The immigrant story at its heart, fleeing oppression and hunger to seek opportunity abroad, is as resonant today as ever. By tracing one family from famine-era Ireland into the fabric of America, the saga captures both the cost and the promise of starting over. It's a reminder of the roots so many trace back to a desperate crossing.
