Burning Mountains: A Vertrider Exploration in Namibia follows three Austrian mountain bikers, Axel, Sylvia, and Lars, into a wide-open land of harshness and surreal rock. They set out to explore the granite of the burning mountains, the Brandberg massif and Spitzkoppe, unsure whether their technical riding style will translate to so alien a landscape.

Why This Film Matters: Exploratory mountain biking is part sport, part first-contact with terrain no one has ridden. Burning Mountains captures the thrill and uncertainty of that search, and frames Namibia's stark, ancient geology as a character in its own right.
