The Frozen Road follows adventure filmmaker Ben Page on a solo bikepacking journey through the Canadian Arctic, where romantic notions of exploration collide with the harsh reality of riding alone through a frozen, unforgiving wilderness. Battling cold, isolation, and his own expectations, Page captures both the danger and the strange solace of the far north.

Why This Film Matters: A multi-award-winning short, The Frozen Road distills the essence of solo adventure and is honest about the fear and loneliness the highlight reels usually leave out. It is a meditation on why we seek out hard, lonely places, and what we find when we get there.
